- 2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon water, more if needed
Now, it's time to roll up your sleeves and get to it! First, whisk together the flour and salt in a large mixing bowl. Then make a well in the center of the mixture and add in your eggs and water. Mix together until a dough begins to form. Transfer your soon-to-be pasta dough onto a lightly floured surface.

Next comes the kneading! You'll want to knead the dough for a solid 10 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic. Make sure to add flour as needed so the dough doesn't stick to your surface. Once you've given your dough a good workout, wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
Rolling, Cutting and Cooking
Okay, now to the fun part - rolling, cutting and cooking your fresh pasta! Divide your dough into four sections and take one section at a time. Roll it out on a floured surface as thin as your heart desires (but be careful not to roll so thin that it tears). Cut your rolled-out dough into whatever shape you want - be it linguine or spaghetti.
Now comes the cooking! Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook your fresh pasta for 2-3 minutes, or until it floats to the top. Drain your noodles and add your favorite sauce or toppings! I'm a classic red sauce girl, myself. But there's no judgement here. You do you!
